Battistinis, Soulcraft bicycle frames . . . . . .

Battistinis, Soulcraft bicycle frames . . . . . .

Some things are good but in truth sometimes other things can just be that much better! From time to time we all like undertaking a bit of ‘hammer bashing’ in the workshop but in truth when we see things that show the true aspect of engineering excellence its just way way way to hard to turn your back on them!

Filmmaker Michael John Evans sets out to visually portray “the zone” which one enters when their craft is honed. Yes we may build custom motosickles but when we saw this video of Sean Walling, owner of Soulcraft, building another one of his top notch custom steel bicycle frames we had to post it on this very blog.

This short film documents Sean’s fabrication methods: a well choreographed dance of experience and muscle memory producing a seemingly effortless ode to process.
From Steel: invites the viewer into Sean’s machine shop for an up close and personal look at the work that results in yet another awesome Soulcraft.
