Battistinis, Red Bull Roast. . . . . .
Bicycle Moto-X is where the two wheel adventure really starts for a lot of the younger guns out there! In England the joy of digging trails use to be all bout nicking the parents shovel out of the shed and disappearing into the local woods for hours/days and weeks on end, crafting beautiful dirt lumps all for a dog walker to knock them down every night! Well the once small niche called BMX has since grown and lost its soul with all the ‘X-Games syndrome’ glitz and glamour. Thankfully some of the big shot sponsors out there let the riders take control and build things that they want to ride not things that make riding bikes look good of 40” flatscreen televisions!
This weekend some red-hot BMX action was served up at
‘The Red Bull Roast’ on the outskirts of Queenstown, New Zealand. Throw
together some of the world’s best BMX riders, a hand-built jump park and more
bad-ass tricks than you can wave a pair of knee pads at and you have all the
ingredients for a perfect day's BMXing. Get a taste for it by watching Jaden
Leeming, and George and Louis Bolter tear things up and rest assured that over this
weekend there will have been some absolutely ridiculous riding going down!
