Battistinis, THIS MUST BE THE PLACE. . . . . .
There's no place like home. It's where we live,
work and dream. It's our sanctuary and our refuge. We can love them or hate
them. It can be just for the night or for the rest of our lives. But whoever we
may be, we all have a place we call home.
Allan
Hill has what seems to be a sort of sad optimism. Through circumstances that
aren’t really ever explained, he lives (legally mind you) in one of the last
inhabitable buildings of the original Packard plant. His space appears to be a
the home of a reckless junk collector. His face has a grief-stricken slant to
it. His clothes are torn and dirty. His words are down and out. But somehow, he
still seems optimistic in this strange sort of way.
THIS MUST BE THE PLACE is a series of short films that explore the idea of home; what makes them, how they represent us, why we need them. www.thismustbetheplace.tv
