Well the quest to see how much food and drink you can get through in a single day has taken its toll on all of us here that’s for sure. Like you no doubt we managed to battle through the mountain of turkey, brandy and whatever else lay in front of our eyes ‘needing to be eaten’ in a single day! Well its back to business as normal here now, just with us carrying around a little extra weight! Well just before Christmas when opening the post we could not help but notice one envelope stamped up from Germany. There was good reason for its postmark, being that it was the latest offering from our good friends at Easyriders Germany!

We like the bikes that we build and really do love it when they are appreciated by others too. A massive thanks goes out to Easyriders Germany for this great and HUGE feature of the Battistinis OPEX in the January 2009 issue (Available Now). This bike was built for Opex Exhibition Services London UK and is loaded to the hilt. If we were a faceless organisation we really could turn off the lights and see you next year without a care in the world. This in turn would leave us with a truck load of unopened mail, about a thousand answer phone messages to listen to and about a million e-mails offering us Viagra, hooky loans and whatever else the computer email spam bandits have created for us to sift through. 'Officially' yes we are now shut till Jan 5^th but in truth we are not!

Make any sense, thought not!

The showroom is closed until the 5^th January and the phones are on answer phone, but being involved in bikes has never been 9 till 5 so if you leave us a message (phone or e-mail) we will get back in touch long before the 5^th. Why? Well the doors may be locked but rest assured that we will be inside getting of with some of the builds that will leave your jaw dropped to the floor for when you see them in the New Year!

Since its creation we really have kept it under ‘low key exposure' so not many people even know that it exists!

Well this is the first ever trike to be built by Battistinis, it is brand new, never used, and is the UK’s FIRST EVER Exile Trike. Also as far as we know it's the first one to be built in Europe too! It’s based on a kit of the very build that Russell Mitchell, head honcho of Exile Cycles U.S.A put together for the Biker Build off that really turned the competition upside down!

MCM Magazine started out in the fall of 1985, with the idea from the very beginning to launch a new motorcycle magazine on the Scandinavian market.

The heart and soul of the magazine has always been the unique mix of classic/vintage bikes, along with clean customs and of course the world famous "Swedish Style" choppers. Well for this month a four page Battistinis spread is also thrown into the mix for good measure!

MCM has always been independent of outside owners/investors, and has therefore been able to produce the magazine the way they like it; perhaps not the way that would have been the most profitable at any given time. From the very beginning an unpredictable mix of exotic machinery as well as home-grown specials in all shapes and forms have graced the pages and we have to say a massive thanks to all our friends at MCM for this great article about us, our bikes, our product collection and also about our ethos of trying to do things different from what one would expect!

The wall planners are up, the dates being pencilled in and the bikes being built. Oh yes 2009 is still two months away from now but everything here at Battistinis is already in full swing for the turning of 08’ to 09’!
