GQ Battistinis Style . . . . . .

With all things in life you can follow the trends, imitate others or just make your own path by simply drawing inspiration from everything around you, the latter being what we prefer to do! Be it a 50’s Roadster, a pre war industrial machine or even an i-pod nano we draw inspiration from as many sources as possible.

When the words FASHION, GROOMING, ART, DESIGN, OPONION are on the cover of a magazine you know that they can only be on a very select few publications on the book shelf. If the words ‘the definitive guide to men’s fashion’ are also on the cover it can only be one such title, GQ Style. In this instance the Autumn/winter 2008/09 (Issue 7) that has just been released.

The Battistinis Smooftale is not a bike that has to follow any trends being that it is one that has set them for others to follow. This is the reason why it features in a double page, ‘Who Dares Wins’ GQ feature with products from designers Giorgio Armani, Raf Simons, Rick Owens and Silverman’s, each being innovators in their own fields.

This is Battistinis’ vision of what a lowrider should look like – very long, lean and low; 7/8^th chrome moly tubing for that unique San Francisco Bay look. With no angles, the total elegance of the project being exclusively based on fluidity of lines… We’re much into diggers; that’s what we really enjoy building and riding. No cheapo or not so cheerful oriental gadgetry. “Less is more” as they say… Whilst clearly not for the novice or the fainthearted, Smooftale’s utter rideability will surprise most cynics. California Dreamin’ - NOW CANCELLED

California Dreamin’

California Dreamin’ “A history of Custom American motorcycles presented by Battistinis” is now unfortunately CANCELLED! This event was going to be the one that would be talked about for years to come! Unfortunately we organised our end of the exhibition but have been let down by others in the chain!

We would have loved for nothing more than for this event to occur and were planning not one but several very special things to be shown! All we can say id ‘sorry’, even thou its not our fault that its not occurring!

Some people like choppers, others lowriders, others bobbers! The list really could go on and on! However in our eyes ‘The Blue Chop’ is what we consider ‘kewl as hell!’

This is just one of the many projects that we have been upto this year on the bike building and restoration front!

As much as you may want to turn your back on the stresses of the world, swing your leg over this and ride it away it is (as the sign on it in the showroom suggests) NOT FOR SALE!!!! However, if this is the style of bike that you are after get in contact with us as if it comes out anything like this you will not regret it!

London Fashion Week Parties on!. . . . .

The 2009 London fashion week begun this Sunday and that means one thing, a heap of glamour hitting the streets of the capital with an overdose of parties thrown in for good measure!

Dolce London played host to some of the kewelst and most stylish hitters to join the party circuit this Sunday!

The addition of some Battistinis custom motorcycles brought an indulgence of utter style and glamour in one giant roar! The paparazzi took to the venue and it’s obvious what the centre of attention was, ‘A-List’ Battistinis bikes without question!

Sunday 14^th September could only mean one thing for a lover of two wheels! Oh yes indeed it was the The Ace Cafe London Brighton Burn Up and boy oh boy what a corker it was!

The sun came out in force all day and that meant more bikes and people than ever before. Madeira Drive was completely lined to the hilt with every other inch of available asphalt on Brighton seafront and beyond also covered in bikes of all shapes and sizes.

Battistinis were showcased some of the latest builds and were at hand to cover all your custom needs.

A massive thank you to all of you who dropped by the stand for a beer or two throughout the day, it was great to catch up with so many people. Fear not if you missed the stand or want to spend some more time gazing at bikes taking custom to the limit you are more than welcome to drop by our showroom in Bournemouth!

And for those of you eagle eyed persons out their, yes indeed one of the pictures does have a newly restored classic in them! Monaco is back!

Are these a work of art or are they a set of Harley Davidson floorboards? Well in our eyes these are both rolled into one killer product! These boards utilise the same styling aesthetics as our ever popular B2 extended boards that originally broke the mould of traditional floorboard styling as they were a radical departure from what expects.

These new “shortboards” are the exact same length as OEM Harley-Davidson floorboards so installation really is a true ‘remove and replace’ simplicity. Rubber inserts help isolate vibrations creating a higher level of comfort.

Brighton Ace Café Run . . . . .

The Ace Cafe London, celebrates its 70th Aniversary year in 2008 and this Sunday (14th September) is the very Brighton Burn Up (leaving the Ace Café at 10.30am). The Ace Cafe Reunion Run, or the Brighton Burn-Up as its known is one of the biggest, perhaps the biggest, motoring events to fill the tarmac along Madeira Drive.

Some claims put the total number of participants as high as 40,000. But whatever, the city is certainly heaving with motorcycles of all shapes and sizes on the day.

Battistinis will be out in force on the day with the latest builds and the Battistinis range of parts and accessories to hit the market!

London ain't Ready . . . . .

We would say where, when and what the hell we are on about here but we can’t. Well if that’s not a useful update to this blog we don’t know what is!!!

Battistini bikes are to be in attendance at a very special party that kicks off in the Capital this Sunday!

Lets just put it this way, London Fashion Week that is now established as one of London's premier events starts the very same day, so somewhere in that sentence may well be a link!

Keep your eyes peeled open and your ears pinned back as we roar through the Capital!
