Yes it allows Spotify to blare out of the mac book from morning to night without much thought but it also means that we don’t go in search of the many other greats out there on the world wide web!! Until last week we stand and admit that we were a little shy of knowing much about the station but thankfully NOW WE DO! Biker Fm.co.uk is The UK internet radio for station for bikers! Some great things and stories happen on the station that’s for sure!

Take for example on Tue 1^st June at 18.00 there is an interview of Tony Bryne, father of Gary Bryne, who is racing in the new Harley Davidson XR1200 series! Gary is racing not only for himself but also to raise funds and awareness for Great Ormond Street Hospital!

We are having a ride-out leaving the Battistini Showroom on Sun June 20th to Beaulieu, The National Motor Museum and would love you to join us. We will be heading towards Beaulieu as they have organised the ‘South Coast Internationals 2010’ Hot Rod & Custom Drive-In Day and if its anything like last years its gonna be mega and an event NOT TO BE MISSED!

We will be meeting at our NEW shop at 10a.m and going from there, no doubt after we have eaten our own body weight in donoughts from the ‘Rockers Cafe’ which we now have instore that is up and running!

The event is open to everyone, so if four wheels are more up your street rather than two you are more than welcome to roll with us! All we ask is that Please contact us prior to the event (the sooner the better) so that we can pre-book everyone into Beaulieu to avoid ques on the day and also so we don’t leave you behind!

The line-up for the day includes:
- Hundreds of vehicles on show - Hot Rods, Customs, Classic Americans, Chops & Bobbers
- Live music - Rockabilly, swing and jive from The Ace Trio and 40's & 50's swing jump jive from Big Al and the Fireflys
- Demonstrations and prize giving for best in class and best in show

Battistinis are proud to announce that they will be putting bodies and

bikes to the limit in the Swiss500 miles challenge on June 5 & 6th 2010.

The swiss500miles, now in its 3rd year is an endurance motorcycle event that takes place in Switzerland across the Alps over a distance of 500miles (805km) within 24 hours. The event is only open to Harley and Buell bike owners, with an exception made for our Battistini built custom steeds.

After morning registration the ride starts at an unknown location on the Saturday afternoon and ends after a max of 24 hours on Sunday afternoon.

At the start and at every checkpoint a road book will be given to all entrants which will guide you to the next checkpoint. Within an allocated time every checkpoint must be reached to gain the next stage road book, so the clock really is ticking from the very start!

Will we and our bikes be tough enough?

As in any industry, our job is not without its perks, with one such perk being that we see and use a hell a lot of motorcycle ‘stuff’ before it goes out for general release! For some time now we have been working behind the scenes at a whole host of new exciting projects which includes new bikes and brand new parts and accessories to add to our ever expanding range!

One of the biggest challenges that we find is getting across our message in the best and most direct way possible! Take for example a set of our grips or handlebar controls! If they are not in your hands a single shot of them will never do them justice. The hours of design and manufacturing time and quality simply goes unseen. We said a couple of weeks back on this very blog that our good friends from www.votwo.co.uk were training for a serious Open Ocean Surski race in Spain.

Well the race was an awesome spectacle - some 230 paddlers lined up at the mass start on the beach in front of the beautiful medieval town, Vilajoiosa in Spain on 1 May. Thankfully another string to the bow of the guys (and girls) at Votwo is making great race and event videos as can be clearly seen below!

South Africa Dawid Mocke won the race, making no mistakes as he dropped the other lead paddlers a third of the way into the course, however the overall winners were the paddlers who had an awesome day out - working hard in the heat and the flat conditions, but in front of some spectacular coastline that combined desolate rocky outcrops and cliffs with the glitzy beachfront of Benidorm.
