‘Retro Revival’ is back for a ‘St Patricks Party’ like no other . . . . . .

From the success of last months ‘Valentines Special’ we have decided to twist back the throttle even further and have planned another belter of an evening on Sat 12^th March from 7-12pm! >> CLICK HERE << to see some sunning photos from last months great evening we had together!

This time round ‘Retro Revival’ will double up with being the Official Launch Party of the ‘ 2011 Battistinis California Dreamin’ Expo’. Being the first year of our hugely anticipated custom bike expo we decided to launch the show in utter style and in the best way we know how, by having one huge great party months before the show even swings open its doors to the very first visitor, so with that the case expect more custom bikes and hot rods than ever before!

As ever we have a belter of an evening lined up with live music from Rock ‘n’ Roll “Jelly Roll” alongside Rock 'n' Roll DJ "Vanessa". Stunning Burlesque performances all night long, being headlined by the sensational international starlet “Mysti Vine” from London!

And that’s not all . . . . . . Also attending will be "The Vintage Hair Lounge” with the ultimate in glamour and hair styling, “Love from Hetty & Dave” hand crafted leather accessories & jewellery “Vintage mixy blob” with 50’s bric-a-brac and quirky gifts. All this alongside Custom motorcycles and hotrods on show, a brand new 50’s inspired menu (food included in ticket price), and the ‘Kitty Kat Kittens’ keeping us all up on the dance floor throughout the entire evening and Adrian Lambert Photography capturing the nite in all of its full glory!

Some blogs/websites out there are simply a waste of time, with others simply being a must everytime the mac powers up! Take for example ‘The Jalopy Journal’, a must for all of us here! “It’s very rare to find any film footage pre-1960 with actual sound attached as the technology wasn’t easily obtainable in the day. As such, much of the vintage film compilations that are sent to me leave me wishing for more. Sound is a very important dimension in hot rodding. One of the most important really. With this footage, however, I’m thankful it was sent sans sound. I don’t think I could handle the extra dimension.

I know crashes are novelties. I know 90% of folks watch racing with the hopes of seeing some “action.” I’m not one of them. Having been in the driver’s seat before and having been in the hospital as a result, crashes make me cringe. They make my stomach turn. They literally hurt to watch.

Many of the folks featured in this film lost their lives. That makes it even more tough to watch… But it also drives home a point – these fellas gave their lives to racing.”

There is a time and a place for everything and this is very much the place but in truth very much after the time that we should have given our good friend Chopper Crizy some props on this very blog! We first met Crizy when he turned up at our old shop and said in his minimal English that may as well been Spanish, “Im here to work”!!!!!

On this very first day we found out that he was useless at making tea, had nowhere to stay, had come from Barcelona, liked fast times and had just customised our ‘snap-on’ roll cab by drilling it like a sive so he could then rivet the sockets to the drawer! THANKS!!!!

After the several weeks that past and we were stuck with him we learnt a lot about Crizy. In truth he did not learn to much English which was his whole reason for him coming over to annoy us (well thats apart from every offensive word you could ever imagine)! However since that visit he has come back to haunt us from time to time and with that the case has become one very good friend especially when we are Barcelona bound and he shows us one amazing place after another!

If it’s custom bikes, hotrods, partys, rock ‘n’ roll, tattoos, skateboards or anything good that you are after he is the man to get in touch with if you are ever Barcelona bound!

What a real blinder of an evening we had last Saturday at Retro Revival!!!! Its actually taken us a full week to feel recovered enough to simply post up onto this very blog!

Like always ‘Retro Revival’ is only so good from all of your continued support. From everyone who attends, performs, brings a stall, plays in a band, and so the list really goes on!
