Battistinis, Ace Café Ally Pally 2010UK Custom Show! . . . . .

Its coming, its here, its happened, we are sure (and hope) that it will be back!

That’s correct the Ace Café had its Custom Motorcycle show at Ally Pally London this weekend and what a show it was! We were on the Exile stand throughout the show with our latest Battistinis Exile build’ The Hotrod’ and also ‘The Trike’ that we built last year and want to say a massive thanks to everyone who dropped by the stand to see the builds! The show had it al covered, from the mild to the wild and thankfully us from the rain that beat down all weekend hard! Even with this the case the spirits of everyone who attended were not dampened one little bit!

American Motorcycle Dealer magazine (AMD) accredited the custom show to have AMD world championship of custom bike building status and it showed! Some serious builds and modified Harleys were lined up and some very happy people took away a huge pot of trophies, money and assorted other prizes between them, including Eric from ‘Special Parts Supply’ taking the win of best in show and so receiving a dream ticked to the final of the competition with the ‘world’s best in Sturgis. Lets hope that this show now becomes a permanent feature on the scene and really brings together not just the UK or European custom scene but the entire world!

Battistinis, UK Coldest night of winter. . . . .

The UK has suffered its coldest night of the winter so far with temperatures plummeting to -21.6C (-6.2F) in the north-west Highlands. With this the case we decided to pile up a bit of snow round the back of the shop and strap a couple of planks to our feet and see what happened! Funny enough pain resulted, so now back in the comfort of the warmth we will just sit back and watch someone who knows what they are doing!

In the world of snowboarding a certain person called Shaun White is as good as it gets! Recent videos emerging from Shaun White’s training prior to the Olympics would have many die hard snow lovers presuming that his defense of the Gold medal was a foregone conclusion.

However, yesterday saw Danny Davis who is under no such illusions step up to the mark to let everyone know he had no intention of sitting back in the quest for gold. Check out Danny Davis’ last run from the most recent team qualifier in Mammoth, never before has anyone stuck three double corks in competition and never before has Shaun White had greater reason to be looking over his shoulder.
